Johannesburg, 13 November 2016: Gorgeous actress, TV presenter, model and girl-about-town Amanda du-Pont has a stylish new gig as the co-presenter on BET A-List.
Amanda will be co-hosting the weekly entertainment and lifestyle magazine show with Ayanda Thabethe for the next three months, shooting segments with A-listers and celebrities from across the continent. She steps into the stilettos of pregnant Nandi Madida who taped her last episode last week before heading off on maternity leave.
Ayanda and Amanda will keep audiences captivated weekly with the latest trends from around the African continent and abroad, unpacking everything from fashion, to music, movies and more, covering the hottest red carpet events and interviewing A-Listers from home and abroad.
Amanda spent her first day shooting at Endemol Shine Studios in Randburg on 10 November, and her first episode of BET A-List will premiere on BET on Thursday 17 November at 18:35 CAT. Highlights from the episode will include an exclusive behind-the-scenes peek at Anatii and Omarion’s new music video, an interview with the cast & crew of the new movie, “Kalushi: The Story of Solomon Mahlangu”, and a profile on Hip Hop’s most prolific photographer, Jonathan Mannion, the man responsible for iconic shots of artists like Jay Z and Lauryn Hill.

About Amanda du-Pont
Amanda du-Pont is an actress, television presenter, commercial and fitness model. du-Pont lends a hand to charity through fundraising an annual horse race (Emperors Charity Mile).
Amanda made her screen debut as a lead actress on “Muvhango”. Since then she has been on: “Generations”, “A place called Home”, “City Sesla”, “Intersexions” season 2, “End Games”, “Task Force” and “Skeem Saam”. Amanda has also acted on CBS drama “Life is Wild” aired on hallmark in the USA and locally. Amanda has filmed two feature films released in cinema’s “Hear Me Move” and “Between Friends.” She was also featured in the Grazia Spain magazine for a model shoot she did in New York for Hijabi’s. She has also done fashion editorials, fitness and originals campaigns for Adidas. She is currently an Adidas ambassador. She has been on the cover of Grazia and Woman’s Health Magazine South Africa this year. She is currently a television presenter on “Biting About” and “Man Cave” on SABC 3, and lead actress on SABC 1 daily edu-drama “Skeem Saam”. She is a shoe designer and has her own collaboration shoe line with Footwork. She has released her own limited edition backpack with international brand Sprayground.
Amanda has a Bachelor of Arts degree from The South African School of motion picture and live performance. She is also a New York Film Academy graduate in Acting in Film; the academy awarded her a scholarship. Amanda is an actress first but lends herself to presenting, voice overs, commercial modelling, fitness modelling, hosting events and live broadcast television shows, as well her career as a business woman.
