(Fri, 13th July) Mi-Stro Records, one of SA’s youth driven leading Upcoming Talent Management and Entertainment Record Labels, has embarked on a new chapter, sealing a massive deal with globally represented music powerhouse Universal Music Group Africa.
First release dropping through the partnership is from the stylish and melodic duo, Champagne69. The due continue to make waves and capture the hearts of many South African youngsters as they officially drop their smoking hot single titled Smoke, featuring Gemini Major.

Champagne 69’s Smoke has received an overwhelmingly positive response from the music industry and fans; and continues to position strongly on local TV charts. The duo once again proves their versatility with stunning vocals which hold a distinct sound, so unique and refreshing, bringing a breath of fresh air on the highly-competitive hip hop circuit.
The deal with Universal Music will see Champagne 69, Darne, Tyrant, February, KT’yana, Wave.Gang, Roy Charamba, Blayze DeVille and Yan Solo expand their brands. They will also benefit from a suite of services provided by Universal that will focus on brand extension locally and across the African continent, as well as in territories with Pan African interests.
