It seems the only time I’ve seen Kid Fonque this year is at #2SidesOfTheBeat.
Of course it would be at #2SidesOfTheBeat because I try to make sure I attend it. It’s not only about the music being played but it’s a platform where we get to see different styles of music come as 1 for the good of the people. The people that come through and show their love for this event is always amazing.
The details for the 17th #2SidesOfTheBeat
Line-Up: Kid Fonque, DJ Bubbles & Jullian Gomes
Venue: Kitcheners, Braamfontein
Date: 29 August 2014
Time: 7pm
Unfortunately Da Capo pulled out last minute but never fear, Jullian Gomes came through and that was a blessing in disguise because Jullian Gomes came with his cousin Michael G. So we head G. Family in the house showing Kid Fonque love, see the love and support I was talking about.
I was even happier because I missed G. Family the previous week when they performed at Great Dane so I was so excited to see them at #2SidesOfTheBeat.
Kid Fonque took to the decks first and made it clear he meant business as he opened for Jullian Gomes to take the crowd into the night, with a set that included more than Deep House as he played Hip Hop as well. He also played ‘BlackWhole – 1000Seconds’ and followed that with ‘Love Song 28 (Charles Webster remix)’ and the dance floor smasher ‘Hyenah – The Wish (Dub)’. DJ Bubbles stepped up after him and made sure that not a soul left the dance floor, as Kid Fonque ended the event in style.
These events always create beautiful memories for attendees. I can’t wait for the next one to take place, another great night at #2SidesOfTheBeat.
