Posted on May 14, 2021May 19, 2021 by Yule Dark

Today, May 14th 2021, Netflix premiered i am All Girls, the intense thriller directed by Donovan Marsh about a child sex trafficking syndicate operating out of South Africa. The story follows two detectives as they embark on an justice-seeking journey to bring down the heads of the trafficking ring.

This socially relevant story is beautifully brought to life by actresses Hlubi Mboya (Isidingo, Rhythm City) in the lead role as ‘Ntombizonke’ and Erica Wessels (Warrior and Waterfront, Vloekstte) as her determined colleague, ‘Jodie Synman’.

Nancy Wilson, of rock band Heart fame, who recorded a cover of band Pearl Jam’s “Daughter” for the film said, “I was drawn to the global tragedy of human trafficking and the lyrics sung from a women’s perspective also mirror the power of the girls untold stories. This film is a revelation and sheds meaning and light on these realities. Trafficking is a global phenomenon that impacts women around the world. I recorded this version as an anthem to them.”

i am All Girls is now streaming on Netflix in 190 countries across the globe.
