After Months Of Keeping Fans On The Edge Of Their Seats, Zwide Has Finally Released ‘Ngizokwala’ From His Upcoming EP, ‘Asazani Sinqunu’

Johannesburg, South Africa, Friday, 4th July 25- After months of teasing new music, building undeniable anticipation and keeping his fans on the edge of their seats, rising Maskandi artist, Zwide, has officially set the wheels in motion for his upcoming EP ‘Asazani Sinqunu’.

Today, platinum selling ‘Wenhliziyo Yami’ hitmaker has delivered on his promise to his fans with the release of his lead single ‘Ngizokwala’featuring the talented 2 Short. The demand for new music from his fans has not gone unnoticed as ‘Ngizokwala’ is currently sitting on over 79K views on TikTok.

‘Ngizokwala’is an emotive yet playful warning; shape up or get shipped out. Zwide, speaking from a woman’s perspective, narrates the emotional tension of being in a relationship that lacks commitment, where Siyabonga seems to expect all the benefits of being in a serious relationship, even dictating how the woman should behave yet Siyabonga shows no real intention of taking the necessary next steps to truly enjoy those benefits.

While explaining the single Zwide shares; “Uma ngithi ‘Ngizokwala Siyabonga, ngamane bahleka sehlukana’ kusho ukuthi laphana ngigqoke intombazane. Ngiyintombazane ekhala ngendoda emphathayo engam’ lobolile. Ukusho ngangi semizweni yokuthi angibe yintombazane ephuzayo, yabo, so mawsufika wena ushayela umuntu umthetho, omthole vele ephuza usuke ususho okunye. Ngangiy ntombazane eyatholwa umjida ovele intombazane iphuza manje umjida useshaya umthetho ethi akawfuni uthshwala, yingakho intombazane isithi ‘usungishayela umthetho ngizokwala soka lami.’”

Known for his relationship storytelling, with ‘Ngizokwala’  his fans get a taste of what is yet to come from his upcoming EP ‘Asazani Sinqunu’ music that speaks of the complex dynamics of relationship stereotypes, the dating pool and overall love stories.

Sthabiso Nxumalo better known as Zwide was born and raised in Stamford, Ladysmith, KwaZulu Natal. He comes from a single woman headed home where his grandmother taught him how a man carries himself, respects and takes care of woman around him. His background encouraged him to work hard and become a prominent person in society. He travelled down to Johannesburg with the plan to find a job to put bread on the table for his family, however music has always been his first love with the doubt of making it due to his unemployment problems hanging.

He lost his mother at a very young age, leaving him at the hands of his older sister and grandmother, however life forced him to take the role of the leader because of being the only man in the family. Growing up in a rural area instilled humility and strength. Through his music career he has managed to renovate his childhood home, purchased himself a car and provided a better living fir his family.

After a month of staying in the city of Gold and securing a job as a petrol attendant, Zwide began his music career where the maskandi hit track Wenhliziyo Yami ft. Mafikizolo and Umehlabomvu, this opened doors for him birthing the upcoming EP i-Attention which features Dr Smile, Umehlabomvu and Inkosi Yamagcokama whom he looks up to dearly.

In the beginning of his journey Zwide experienced challenges such as being undermined by well established artists, lack of finances as well as struggling to access promoters for bookings for an extra income. His desire is to dominate charts, make more music with Inkosi Yamagcokama whom he describes as one artist who reignites the spark for music in him and encourages him on the possibilities of his dreams coming true.
