The most anticipated album release of the year, Be Careful What You Wish For, has already been deemed “monumental”, – Bringing together a peerless AKA matched with the supreme producer Anatii for a full body of work that will exhilarate hip hop fans throughout the globe
The 10 track album, featuring hits like “The Saga” and “10 Fingers” will be an Apple Music and iTunes exclusive for one week and will feature on Beats 1 with US radio star Ebro on Wednesday, July 26th, 2017. The interview and feature, which is a first for South African artists, will be succeeded by the album release on Apple Music and iTunes.
“Be Careful What You Wish For is a new sonic wave for Africa”, says Anatii. who has amply shown off his sharpness on the album, and ready to usher in a new era. “AKA and myself have a very unique bond in studio so the energy was organic and all the records are unexpected and far from the norm”.
The Supa Mega concurs with Anatii’s sentiments on the collabo coming through as organic: “BCWYWF came from a very organic place. It all came together at the right moment,” echoes AKA. “We called it BCWYWF because the fans had been asking us to do this project for such a long time.”
AKA and Anatii are also putting together a Be Careful What You Wish Tour in support of the album, which kicks off at Zone 6 Venue in Soweto on July 28th and runs through to September. The two superstar’s journey will find them in major cities including Johannesburg, Cape Town and Durban.
Be Careful What You Wish For will be available on Apple Music and iTunes exclusively on July 28th, 2017 and retailers on August 4th.
