Tune in to Rap Life Radio With Ebro now on Apple Music 1.
Apple Music’s Rap Life Radio, presented by Global Editorial Head of Hip-Hop and R&B Ebro Darden, will feature acclaimed Nigerian rapper LADIPOE this month, as Ebro and Africa Now Radio host Nandi Madida discuss his latest single, “Many People” featuring Ema Onigah, taken from his forthcoming sophomore album, Revival. Anchored by LADIPOE’s signature lyrical precision and thoughtful storytelling, “Many People” is a powerful meditation on self-belief in an era increasingly shaped by comparison and outside noise.
Serving as one of the lead singles from Revival, “Many People” captures the qualities that have made LADIPOE one of Africa’s most respected rap voices: technical excellence, emotional intelligence and an unwavering commitment to pushing the boundaries of Nigerian Hip-Hop. The track offers an early glimpse into a project that promises to be his most personal and culturally resonant body of work to date, reaffirming his position at the forefront of Africa’s rap renaissance.
Alongside LADIPOE, Rap Life Africa will also spotlight Maglera Doe Boy and FLVME‘s hard-hitting new collaboration, “Yahoo Boyz.” Following a buzzworthy social media rollout, the drill-inspired anthem finds the South African lyricists delivering razor-sharp bars over production from Oro WaAfrika, Big Les and Zoocci Coke Dope. Also featured is “Ibandla” by Ruff, Emtee, Sjava and Saudi, a soulful and introspective offering that reflects on brotherhood, faith and personal growth, while showcasing the quartet’s evolving artistry through rich Hip-Hop and R&B influences.
Spotlight On
Few artists have done more to redefine the possibilities of contemporary Nigerian rap than LADIPOE. Born Oladipo Eso, the critically acclaimed lyricist has spent the past decade building a catalogue distinguished by sharp wordplay, cultural insight and an unmistakable intellectual edge. Since returning to Nigeria after graduating from the University of Southern California, he has consistently demonstrated that African rap can stand confidently on the global stage while remaining deeply rooted in local identity and experience.
His forthcoming sophomore album, Revival, marks the next evolution of that vision. Conceived as a journey of self-reawakening, the 16-track project explores themes of faith, identity, community and African excellence through a bold fusion of lyrical dexterity and contemporary African rhythms. Ambitious in scope yet deeply personal, Revival positions LADIPOE not simply as one of Nigeria’s finest rappers, but as an artist intent on reshaping the future of African Hip-Hop.
