KwaZulu-Natal-born artist AzureDé returns with a new release that places feeling, rhythm and musical expression at the centre of her evolving sound.

South African singer AzureDè continues to build her presence in the 3-Step and Afro-house space with the release of her new single, Imizwa, out now.

Known for her contribution to the growing 3-Step movement, AzureDè is carving out a distinct space within South Africa’s electronic music landscape. With Imizwa, she brings emotion to the forefront, using music as a medium where feeling and rhythm converge.

The title, Imizwa, speaks to emotions and feelings, a concept that offers a compelling foundation for the single’s identity. Rooted in a South African cultural context, the title also gives the release a point of connection that extends beyond language, inviting listeners to engage with music through their own experiences and interpretations.

“I’m excited for the world to hear Imizwa. This song is a labour of love, and at its heart is the desire to connect people through something we all share: feelings and emotions. We all carry things within us, and I hope this song creates a space for people to feel, let go and release whatever they may have been holding inside. For me, music goes beyond the dance floor. It should move you, inspire you and bring a little more light into your world,” she said.

Hailing from Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu-Natal, AzureDè is part of a new generation of artists contributing to the evolution of South African dance music. Her work reflects the dynamism of a scene that continues to develop new sounds, audiences and cultural connections, with the potential to travel well beyond the country’s borders.

Her growing catalogue includes collaborations with established names in the local dance music scene, including Heavy-K, MSA and Lady Du. These collaborations have contributed to her expanding profile as she continues to cement her presence and her identity as an artist.

As AzureDè continues to rise, Imizwa marks another step in her journey: one shaped by the sounds emerging from South Africa, her roots in KwaZulu-Natal and an ambition to connect with audiences across the world.
