Ballantine’s Scotch Whisky continues its successful partnership with award-winning, platinum-selling music duo, Black Motion, to host its first-ever music tour, Ballantine’s presents Black Motion Tour.
Set to hit six cities across the country this April and May, Ballantine’s will produce the tour under the brand’s Stay True banner, which celebrates what it means to stay authentic to your craft, your passion and your music. It is these shared values that has seen the partnership between Ballantine’s and Black Motion grow from strength to strength in the last two years, culminating in this incredible six-show experience.
Black Motion have been touring extensively, performing at international events and club nights such as Defected In the House, Ministry of Sound (UK), Rise at Watergate (Berlin), Kilo Lounge (Singapore), Las Estacas, Morelos (Mexico), Summer Love 2017 at La Marina (New York) and many more. But as much as the duo love playing to foreign crowds, South Africa is their home and its people their family. Coming back to their roots is something Black Motion lives for and staying true means celebrating where you come from. This is why the Ballantine’s x Black Motion Tour will also visit smaller regions like Bloemfontein and Port Elizabeth, in addition to Black Motion’s home city of Pretoria, so more fans get to experience the authentic Stay True sound of Black Motion.
The tour kicked off in Durban on 6 April 2018 at Under the Moon. Later this month Black Motion will perform at Thoughts Lounge in Bloemfontein on 28 April, Cape Town’s Chippa’s Place on 29 April and The Jubilee in Port Elizabeth on 30 April. The final stops are Pretoria on 5 May at Amaros and Johannesburg’s Da Side Club on 11 May.
Tickets are limited and will be on sale at the door.
