Brutal Fruit Tells SA Women #YouBelong

Posted on October 23, 2020October 23, 2020 by Yule Dark

At an elegant brunch event hosted earlier today, Thursday 22 October, Brutal Fruit toasted SA women by launching its ground-breaking new campaign “#YouBelong”. With all Covid protocols strictly observed, the fabulously fruity Brutal Fruit celebrated SA sheroes’ self-worth with a guest list including leading Instagram Influencers, key industry stakeholders, along with fashion and lifestyle media.

Brutal Fruit’s #YouBelong campaign is an open invitation to all SA superwomen to embrace our inherent power, get comfortable with our intrinsic value, and recognise that we are worthy of the spaces in which we find ourselves – anywhere and everywhere, anytime and every time, with anyone and everyone.

You belong anywhere. You belong in the spotlight. You belong to fit in. You belong to stand out. So sing along. Swirl your drink. Because girl, #YouBelong to that #BrutalFruitSpritzer life. pic.twitter.com/oROifQI7ng

Colleen Duvenage, Brutal Fruit Marketing Manager, says, “Brutal Fruit’s #YouBelong campaign is making clear to SA superwomen what we, as a brand, known to be absolutely true – as women, we belong, just as we are. Underlying this fact is a strong sense of self-acceptance and our #YouBelong campaign is here to accompany SA sheroes on this journey.”

Hosted by Thando Thabethe, the brunch featured a glamorously inspirational panel including Brutal Fruit brand and campaign representatives, as well as Glamour SA’s Glamour’s Most Glamorous 2019 award winner Siyanda Dzenga; digital entrepreneur and womanist, Lerato Kgamanye; super-talented songstress Thabsie; and rising actress and lover of life, Kamo Modisakeng. The panellists covered topics critical to a 2020 woman’s sense of self-acceptance, value, and power, including body image, authenticity in opposition to social media’s implicit illusions, and lifestyle challenges such as finding a work-life balance.
