Johannesburg, Friday, 26 March 2021 – Alternative RnB musician and Forbes Africa 30 Under 30 2019 alumni, Karun, has just released a 7-track EP titled, Catch A Vibe.
Karunʼs Catch A Vibe EP lives up to its name. A fusion of alternative R&B, afrobeats and drill sounds, the project provides a laid-back and captivating listening experience as Karun speaks her truth after a brief hiatus. On what headspace she was in when creating the project she says, “The title says it all, catching a vibe. That’s literally where I was. I didn’t want it to be too serious or too heavily themed either. I just wanted it to be honest and that’s how I was feeling.”

Karunʼs highly anticipated 7 track EP provides an introspective look into her journey thus far. The entrancing “Let Me Know” intro aptly sets the stage for the rest of the project. Her adept penmanship explores themes of gratitude and self-discovery as heard on uplifting “Paths”, while the bitter-sweet feeling of letting go is juxtaposed with upbeat production on “Here With Me”. She confidently declares that she is back and ready to take her place in the global music scene as evidenced on the EPʼs infectious second single, “I Know”.
The “Catch A Vibe” EP includes an exciting array of features from Botswanaʼs R&B Soul sensation Mpho Sebina, young Kenyan rising Star Kahu$h, L.A. based R&B artist Chase Aaron and Kenyaʼs R&B princess Xenia Manasseh with notable production from Nigeriaʼs Le Mav and Higo, and Atlanta based MOMBRU.
