Johannesburg, 25 June 2026: Converse celebrates the mischief and humor of Illumination’s Minions & Monsters with a limited-edition collection of footwear, apparel, and Converse By You offerings designed for fans of all ages. Inspired by the riotous new chapter in the biggest global animated franchise in history, the Converse x Minions collection captures the joy and rambunctious energy of the globally beloved Minions.
The collection spans a wide range of styles, each one crafted with unexpected details and recognisable character cues. The Chuck 70 brings a more elevated execution through premium denim, an outside ankle pocket, and co-branded details, while the Chuck Taylor All Star leans further into character-inspired graphics, playful eyelets and stitching, and a vibrant yellow outsole.
For the youngest fans, the Chuck Taylor All Star Easy-On offers effortless functionality and bold visual details including a Minions-inspired adjustable eye strap.
An accompanying apparel capsule includes two T-Shirts and a Hoodie with bold graphic treatments. Converse By You rounds out the collection, letting fans personalise their chosen silhouette from a selection of Minions-inspired colours, prints, accents, and laces.
Opening June 26, Illumination’s Minions & Monsters marks an all-new chapter in Illumination’s global Minions phenomenon. The Converse x Minions collection brings this cinematic chaos to canvas, celebrating the creativity and joyful mischief of the film’s new Minion stars, James and Henry, and their riotous crew.
The Converse x Minions collection launches on June 25 at Converse.co.za and at select retailers from R899,95 to R1999,95.
