Dance Music Crossing Borders From South Africa To China With Tomorrowland

Posted on July 30, 2019July 30, 2019 by Yule Dark

Johannesburg – Dance music has the ability to give individuals from different backgrounds a chance to unite on the dancefloor and share experiences. It also can traverse borders to reach new audiences around the world who gravitate to the sounds of distant lands.

This year at Tomorrowland, BUDX took the opportunity to showcase this unique aspect of dance music culture. DJs from South Africa, China, France and the USA were brought in to perform at an intimate location called The Brew District. In order to help tell this inspiring story of what it means to leave your home country and perform at one of the biggest music festivals in the world, Mixmag’s On Rotation podcast heard from Shimza, Kimmy K and Kyle Cassim from South Africa, as well as Terry Zhong from China. They explored inspiring stories from each other and revealing how BUDX is bringing them together to seize their time to shine.

BudX is Budweiser’s cultural collaboration platform that supports and spotlights outstanding creative minds in music and culture from around the world.
