Undoubtedly one of the most anticipated shows of the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Cape Town was that of internationally-renowned couturier and cornerstone of the South African fashion industry, David Tlale, who unveiled his 20 piece Bridal Collection on Saturday, 1 August 2015.
True to form, Tlale did not let MBFWCT 2015 slip by without leaving an indelible mark on the minds of Cape Town’s fashion elite with his innovative and high-energy show at MoMo Gallery, which tapped into the celebration spirit of CÎROC to charm and delight fans and friends.
“The last few months have been a whirlwind of creativity and excitement for me, having had the opportunity to show my collection at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week New York again. So bringing the spirit of CÎROC to Cape Town was the perfect way to mark my achievements and celebrate with my South African fashion family” said David Tlale.
Tlale, who kicked off the weekend with the ultimate CÎROC celebration of fashion and luxury at Coco on Friday night, charmed the city’s leading fashionistas and trend setters with his latest 20 piece collection, adding a new level of drama to the bridal fashion market with an opulent blue, CÎROC-inspired gown.
The show, attended by Jimmy Nevis, Siv Ngesi, Phat Joe, Jen Su, Chu Suwannapha and esteemed fashion bloggers from Baked the Blog, The Duo Desk and the Fashion Style Cave, featured splashes of blue, signature CÎROC serves, and as always, the infectious charm of the man himself.
“CÎROC supports David in every pursuit. He is a South African fashion icon by any standard, and his success and willingness to take risks have made him a perfect fit for the CÎROC Circle. With every new collection, we have more cause to celebrate” says Avukile Mabombo, brandhouse Reserve Marketing Manager.
Since 2014 David Tlale has been a member of the CÎROC Circle of South African talent, a platform for some of the country’s most inspiring talents across fashion, music and television.
