DJ Mtshepang has to been 1 of the most impressive producers to have been featured on Deeper Shades Of House. Having had his track ‘Ubizo’ licensed to Deeper Shades Recordings, ‘Ubizo’ remixes also releases on Deeper Shades Recordings and then DJ Mtshepang mixing on Deeper Shades Of House guestmix all in 2012, this young man is “on a rise and rise”.
Now that he is in Johannesburg, Gauteng, I had the chance to ask him a couple of questions about his Deeper Shades of House experience.
1. When Lars Behrenroth contacted you, asking to license your song, what was your reaction?
I’ve always wanted to work with DSOH. So was filled with joy

2. And what about doing the guestmix for DSOH, what went through your head? How did you select your tracks?
I was in a happy mood. With guest mixes, I always play my favourite tracks. Be it exclusive songs or old.
__
They definitely do. We’re always supporting each other in everything we do, although most of my friends are not into this music thing. Even if they didn’t believe, I’d still be pushing.
__
4. Since then, how has your career changed since then and what have you learnt from this experience?
You know DSOH is a good platform to outsource your craft; we still have something with DSOH coming together. Another guest mix, and new tracks are in the pipeline. Keep it on the loop…

5. Lars Behrenroth has shown a lot of South African producers and DJs love, why haven’t you guys united and bought him a house in South Africa?
Lars has played a role in outsourcing many potential producers/DJ. I’m grateful for that. In the future definitely, like I said; still more in the pipeline. They’ll be more in store with DSOH, will keep you guys on the loop
