SA’s Top House DJ Euphonik takes to the streets of Joburg for his latest hit
After successfully igniting airwaves across the continent with his African tour, Euphonik’s electrifying remix of the iconic 90s track, It’s a Fine Day, featuring Zandra is now available on YouTube.
Shot on the urban streets of downtown Joburg, the music video marks a successful collaboration between Euphonik and Zandra, blending his electronic house beats with her infectious vocals.
“The video is a reflection of my current state of mind, combining feelings of joy, inspiration and nostalgia, along with the way we live in Joburg’s concrete jungle. I wanted to demonstrate a carefree lifestyle and the group club culture that exists here,” says Euphonik.
Following on this premise, the video’s narrative sees a typical happy-go-lucky local enjoying “a fine day” from the moment she wakes until it all culminates in the ultimate city summer jam lead by Euphonik himself.
It’s a Fine Day was directed by SA music video director Bruce Patterson, known for his work with local and international artists including KO, Kid X, and Mi Casa.
A prolific hit maker, Euphonik has penned numerous chart topping hits, most notably last summer’s anthem Don’t Wanna Be Your Friend, which became a six time platinum hit and the most downloaded track in the country. No surprise that upon release It’s a Fine Day instantly shot to iTunes Top 10.
Euphonik first performed the track in Namibia earlier this year as one of the highlights of his hugely successful African tour which travels to Mozambique next. Fans can get a slice of the Euphonik action in Tete on November 5th and at Afro Deep Festival at Club Mapiko Heaven on November 26th.
Signed to communications, talent and events agency, C.S.A., this year Euphonik has been provided the support to further develop his vision across both the African continent and to global networks.
