F1 Grid Gigs presented by American Express is set to return for the third time this season, at the FORMULA 1 MSC CRUISES UNITED STATES GRAND PRIX 2026, where multi-GRAMMY award-winning band, Train, will light up the stage.
For over three decades, the diamond-selling, San Francisco band Train has been captivating audiences around the world, earning global recognition with their signature blend of rock and pop, infectious melodies, and heartfelt lyrics. The band has sold more than 10 million albums and 30 million tracks worldwide, amassed more than six billion global streams, and earned three GRAMMY Awards, two Billboard Music Awards, and numerous diamond, platinum, and gold certifications.
Known for their critically acclaimed catalogue of chart-topping hits including RIAA diamond-certified, #1 best-selling smash “Hey, Soul Sister,” the double-GRAMMY-winning “Drops of Jupiter,” 5x platinum-certified anthem “Drive By,” and many more, Train has had 14 songs on Billboard’s Hot 100 Chart and 13 albums on the Billboard 200.
One of Train’s latest singles ‘The Weekend‘ will also feature on the F1 Tracks playlist, the official weekly-updated music playlist of Formula 1, featuring high-energy hits, electronic, rock, and dance tracks curated for race weekends. The playlist is available on Apple Music and other major streaming platforms.
Launched in 2025, F1 Grid Gigs was created to elevate the pre race spectacle for fans at home, transforming the grid into a live stage and delivering unmissable entertainment in the moments before the drivers go wheel-to-wheel on track. This season has already seen Colombian star, Manuel Turizo perform in Miami and Italian icon, Laura Pausini, take to the stage in Monza, with further shows still to come before the 2026 season concludes.
As Presenting Partner of F1 Grid Gigs, American Express is living up to their slogan, Race Day is Better with Amex, as they enhance the race-day experience by bringing fans closer to the action through live music and world class entertainment. The show will take place ahead of the drivers’ parade to the huge crowd expected at Circuit of the Americas in Austin, and will be livestreamed across all Formula 1 social media platforms, creating unforgettable moments for fans both at track and watching at home.
Emily Prazer, Chief Commercial Officer of Formula 1, said:

Pat Monahan, Train frontman, said:
“Austin has always been such a great city for live music. It’s one of our favourite places to play, and getting to be part of Formula 1 weekend makes it even cooler. We can’t wait to perform at the Grand Prix, hang out with the fans, and be part of all the fun.”
