Johannesburg, South Africa – 16 October 2026: On 31 October, the lanes get crossed. Gordon’s Mash Up Festtakes over Old Park Station for a one-day celebration where four genres share one stage, one crowd and one very good time.
The idea is simple: different on their own, better when they Mash Up. Hip Hop, Amapiano, Afro Soul and Gqom each have their own energy, style and people. At Mash Up Fest they all show up at once, with fashion, art, food and flavour shaping the world around the sound. The invite is open to everyone who loves the culture.
Each Genre Captain owns their moment on the stage and brings their own artists along. But the genres don’t stay in their lanes. Across the day, the sounds blend into one another, so hip hop, amapiano, afro soul and gqom flow into one continuous mix. It’s a crossover you can only catch if you’re there.

Guests move through a journey built to connect and surprise, from the Connection Districts, where you explore, play and earn as you go, to the Mash Up Market, a curated marketplace where flavour, fashion and culture collide. The Mash Up Edit is a SWANK x Karabo Poppy capsule collection available only at the event. Streetwear meets South African artistry, with live customisation that turns every piece into a one-off.
