MTV Base Announces Panel for “MTV Base’s Hottest MC’s 2016” #SAHOTTESTMCS
Johannesburg, 20 November 2016: MTV Base (DStv channel 322) it gearing up to reveal its annual list of the nation’s hottest MCs on 1 and 2 December. MTV Base Roundtable: SA’s Hottest MCs 2016, a no-holds-barred top 10 countdown curated and compiled by MTV Base and SA Hip Hop industry giants, will air in two unmissable episodes, airing consecutively at 17:05 CAT on Thursday 1 and Friday 2 December.
For the third year running MTV Base has appointed a panel of industry experts to judge Hip Hop’s “King of the scene” for 2016. This year’s session will be mediated by seasoned Hip Hop head, Proverb, with input and insights from veteran MC and producer Amu, UJFM 16BarsRELOADED’s host Spoken Priestess, DJ & producer DJ Capital, legendary rapper and label head Slikour, SA Hip Hop Awards’ supremo Rashid Kay. Master lyricist Tumi will also be on hand, sharing and explaining the 6 key criteria that the panellists will weigh up: impact, lyrics, sales, buzz, style and other ‘intangibles’ that make them stand out from the crowd.
