JICF returns with another mouthwatering feast of international and continental comedy talent performing the best local comedians in South Africa today!
The number one international comedy festival on the continent makes its magnificent return to the Joburg inner city in March, following its postponement in November due to student protests. In its second year, the festival will showcase some of the best local, African and international comedians hosted in various venues in and around the Braamfontein precinct from 31 March – 1 April.
There will be all kinds of comedy on the menu for Festival-goers, so whether you like it dark, alternative, deadpan or even in vernac, there’s a little something, something for everyone.
The shows for this year’s revised instalment are as follows;

Vernac Attack – Hosted by Tips Shampoonaizer (South Africa)
Vernac Attack features a hot line up of local comedians performing sets in their mother tongue!
Late Nite @ The Orbit – Hosted by Tats Nkonzo (South Africa)
This will be a late-night comedy and jazz extravaganza at the one and only Orbit Jazz Cafe
The second edition of JICF promises to be another world class comedy extravaganza – one not to be missed or you’ll be left with an epic case of FOMO! Featuring comedians from the USA, Russia, Nigeria, France, UK, Zimbabwe, Canada, Congo, Kenya, Australia, Uganda and of course South Africa festival goers are going to be blown away by the comedy on offer.
