The long-awaited title track and music video for the soon to be released Absolut Vodka “One Source” album dropped on Wednesday, 5 October and its collaborative nature is set to delight African music fans across the continent.
Motswako superstar Khuli Chana traveled across Africa to find a unique and eclectic mix of collaborators to really showcase the continent’s diverse talent – and the song itself promises to really give consumers an insight into what the Absolut Vodka brand want to achieve through this Pan-African musical celebration.
The “One Source” track and music video celebrates African unity and serves as a reminder that Africa is the birthplace of humanity and therefore is the true source of all creativity.
Sultry Kenyan songstress Victoria Kimani, Ghanaian hip hop sensation Sarkodie and his countryman, Zeal are but some of the featured artists in the visual kaleidoscope that captures Africa’s musical essence. Music lovers can also look out for DJ Breezy, Kgaugelo “KG” Choabi, E.L. and Osborne Macharia making their One Source debut in the video.
“Powerful artistic collaborations prove that the most meaningful connections are made between people who are Absolut about who they are and what they believe in. It’s these kinds of connections that I want to inspire through the “One Source” track and ultimately the album” says Chana.
The “One Source” music video will be aired on the likes of MTV; MTV Base; and Channel O but to name a few, and an exclusive making of video and a documentary series showing Khuli’s journey will be aired on MTV, MTV Base, as well as on Khuli Chana and Absolut Vodka’s social media platforms.
The One Source album is scheduled to be released by the end of 2016 and until then consumers who buy and Absolut Vodka product, will receive a free downloadable track from the EP. Free downloads will be available from 1 November.
