Johannesburg residents will be satisfying their sugar cravings in a whole new way, with the official opening of Puly’s Cupcakes. Puly’s Cupcakes, a custom cupcake company, announced they will be launching on the 27th of November. Kofi Afrika, an intimate coffee shop, in Soweto is proud to host the event. Pulane Mota, social media and PR guru, better known as her online profile, PulyBeast, inherited her infectious love of baking from the women in her family. She nurtured her love of baking during her university career, “When I was in varsity, I tested out my baking with a couple of friends. As the orders started coming in, I saw how happy my cupcakes made my clients.” Says Mota, “I finally knew, when I woke up at 3 am to bake, that this is what I wanted to do for the rest of my life.” Mota wanted to recreate the passionate feeling she experiences through baking and pass it on to her clients. Her 2015 nomination as “Best Food Blogger in Johannesburg” and “Best Newcomer” is proof that Mota possesses an unmatched palate, when it comes to the sweeter side of life.
