PRETORIA, SOUTH AFRICA, 25 September 2026 | Loatinover Pounds steps into a new chapter with Ground 2 Glory, a deeply personal album tracing the distance between where he started, what it took to get here and the person he is becoming along the way.
Following Pray 4 Pitori, an album firmly rooted in the identity, sound and spirit of Pretoria, Ground 2 Glory turns the lens inward. This time, Loatinover Pounds reflects on the trials, triumphs and tribulations that have followed his rise, unpacking love, spirituality, family, friendship, personal vices and the realities of pursuing success.
The result is a candid portrait of growth. Across the album, Pounds does not separate the victories from the sacrifices behind them. Instead, he sits with both, documenting the experiences that have tested him, the relationships that have shaped him and the sense of purpose that continues to pull him forward.
Featuring Focalistic, A-Reece, Mochen, Mo Sufi, Khalee G, THE NORTH MOB and Saint Cielo, Ground 2 Glory expands Pounds’ world while keeping his distinctive Pretoria identity at its centre. Each collaboration becomes part of a wider story about ambition, community and navigating change without losing sight of where you come from.
Opening track and focus single “My Life” provides the album’s emotional entry point. Raw and introspective, the song finds Pounds looking back at his journey from humble beginnings in Pretoria to the successes, failures, relationships and growing pains that have accompanied the pursuit of his dreams.
Rather than treating success as a destination, “My Life” finds him contemplating what comes next. That reflection establishes the foundation for Ground 2 Glory: an album concerned not only with how far Pounds has travelled, but with what the journey has taught him.

ABOUT LOATINOVER POUNDS
Born and raised in Pretoria, South Africa, Loatile Mangadi, better known as Loatinover Pounds, is an artist and producer whose music is deeply informed by the language, culture and sounds of his hometown.
In 2022, he released his breakout project Hood Misunderstood, featuring the hit single “Sosh Plata.” The track, later remixed with 25K and Thapelo Ghutra, became a defining moment in his rise and has surpassed 6 million streams on Spotify.
His growing cultural influence has also led to collaborations with major brands including HYPE x McDonald’s, Flying Fish and Levi’s, including the brand’s 150 Years of 501 campaign.
In 2024, Loatinover Pounds released Pray 4 Pitori, a project inspired by Pretoria and the people, stories and sounds that define the city.
