The Mayonie Productions release brings together bold musical expression and the powerful message of choosing your own struggle.
JOHANNESBURG, SOUTH AFRICA – 23 OCTOBER 2026: South African music powerhouse Moonchild Sanelly is stepping into the Afro House space with “Khetha,” a new collaboration with acclaimed producers ZVRI and Kususa, released on 22 October 2026 under Mayonie Productions.
Meaning “choose” in isiZulu, “Khetha” draws inspiration from Moonchild Sanelly’s popular phrase, “choose your struggle,” a message that has gained traction across her social media platforms through dance challenges and fan participation. The concept encourages listeners to take ownership of their choices and recognise that, in life, challenges are inevitable, but how one responds to them remains a personal decision.
Known for her fearless artistry, distinctive sound and unapologetic approach to self-expression, Moonchild Sanelly brings her unmistakable creative identity to the collaboration. Working alongside ZVRI and Kususa, the track explores the meeting point between her boundary-pushing musical style and the rhythmic, immersive energy of Afro House.
The release also reflects Mayonie Productions’ continued commitment to bringing together distinctive African talent and creating music that connects across genres, cultures and audiences.
Beyond its dancefloor appeal, “Khetha” carries a message that resonates beyond music. It invites listeners to embrace their individuality, make deliberate choices and face life on their own terms. Through its central theme, the track transforms the everyday act of choosing into a statement of personal agency and self-determination.
With “Khetha,” Moonchild Sanelly, ZVRI and Kususa deliver a collaboration that brings together musical experimentation, cultural expression and a message designed to travel well beyond the dancefloor.
“Khetha” is out now under Mayonie Productions.
