The space that I am currently in is filled with love and I am totally consumed by it. I was born into a loving family. I love love in all in facets. I need us to never forget what love is to us. God has been so great to me and opened my eyes.”

Looking over the 12-track album, Musa says his biggest objective was to showcase the different shades of South African music and influences over the generations. He dabbles in pop, jazzy influences and everything else in between. ‘Working alone allowed me space to think independently and to reference the music I loved. I searched for all South African sounds and our heritage that we can’t pretend that we don’t know. And also, to share the story of love with the young and old and cross the gaps without making anyone uncomfortable’. He named the album Musa to mark the milestone project that he started from scratch and brought to life.
