Museeq IQ first burst onto the music scene back in 2008 with his debut vocal contribution on the High Society release of DJ Sndara, which was released under Mayonie Productions. IQ wrote and recorded chart toping single “La la la” for DJ Sndara’s album. Eight years since the release of “La La La” and IQ still receives huge love for the track. The track also won him serious respect in the local industry not only as an artist of substance but as a songwriter to watch out for.
Museeq IQ’s debut album, The Music Vault 8.0, was released late last year. The album includes the hit “Shake It!” feat. DJ Tira and the remix “La La La”.
Now, to kick start twenty eighteen, the Durban born singer and songwriter releases his new single, “Brand New”. Museeq IQ says, “Firstly the sample reminds me of the music my father loves, old school RnB. Since he influenced my choice of music this would be me doing a rendition of one the classics to say ‘Dad I was paying attention and thank you’”
