“United in Love, United in Life, United in Music”
Ntokozo Mbambo and Nqubeko Mbatha Celebrate 10 years in love and music together! Very few people throughout South Africa would* not recognize and praise the KZN-born power-couple that is Ntokozo Mbambo and Nqubeko Mbatha! Their names [and music] are synonymous with skillful excellence and psalmist anointing. They have broken barriers and stereotypes over the past 15 years in the industry, bringing a fresh and exciting sound to the South African Gospel music scene. They have shared local and international stages singing as individual artists and together in SA’s largest Gospel ensemble.
The couple got to know each other better during their tenure at Joyous Celebration, even though their families had known each other before then. It was on the 17th of May 2008, when they officially said their I do’s and they have never looked back! The Anniversary Project album is a sum of their life and love’s journey so far, featuring people who have made an impact of significance in their journey. People can expect features from Joyous Celebration (for obvious reasons!), Hlengiwe and Siyanqoba Mthethwa (a young couple, also from Joyous Celebration, who have become very close friends), Pastor Xola Nzo (their local Pastor), the legendary Black coffee (because every love story has a dance track), and their precious daughters; Fanele and Abongwe Mbatha. Each track on the album has been titled according to the different stages in their relationship, and seeks to uplift, encourage and spark love in the home and to the world!
It is true that alone, one can go fast, but together one can go far! This Gospel powerhouse is not concerned about living life in the fast lane, but rather focuses on working together to build their family, their love and their music!
