Make sure to stay in the loop about everything from artist line-ups to food stall locations and brand experiences to guarantee a remarkable festival outing. Remember, there’s a handy online festival guide to consult and the Festival app you can download on the Google Play Store or App Store. This weekend, the app is your main port of call for all things Delicious!
Once your tickets are locked in and mode of payment loaded, start your things-to-always-have list off with something to keep you hydrated, loads of skin protection and a trusty bag of festival essentials.
What to bring
Remember to bring along a few items to keep you comfortable and protected from the elements. Feel free to bring a hat, jacket, picnic blanket, small hand-held umbrella (no beach umbrellas), a camping chair and a snug pair of shoes to strut your moves in.
What not to bring
There’ll be plenty of food stalls and bars at the venue so please leave your own beverages (alcoholic or non-alcoholic) and food of any kind at home. Additionally, alcohol consumption in the parking areas is forbidden, and pass-outs are strictly not allowed.
Prohibited items include drugs, firearms, glass, picnic baskets, professional photography or videography equipment, drones, beach/golf umbrellas or gazebos, hubbly bubbly, cooler boxes and any pets or animals. There will be zero tolerance for illegal substances or weapons. For the avoidance of any mishaps, you can brush up on all the festival rules and guidelines here.
Payments
We’re doing digital payments on site, so leave the paper at home. No cash doesn’t mean no blast, though, because all vendors accept payment from major banks.
Bonaqua Water Station
There’ll be hydration stations offering free water while stocks last. Various beverage stands will also provide bottled water for purchase.
How to get there
Note that parking at your destination is limited so make the most of Gautrain and e-hailing services, which will have designated pick-up and drop-off spots to minimise traffic.
Gautrain is the official transport partner for the Festival. Eventgoers can take the Gautrain from their preferred stations and get off at Midrand Station. Eventgoers will be directed to the free Bus Shuttle that will drop them at Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit for the event. The shuttle service between Midrand Station and the event will run throughout the day. Gautrain will have an extended late-night service. The last Gautrain Bus will leave Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit to Midrand Station at 23:00 on Saturday and 22:00 on Sunday. The last trains will depart when the buses have arrived at Midrand. Standard Gautrain rules and fares for Train and Parking will apply.
Parking
Pre-purchase a parking ticket online for only R100. Should you purchase it at the festival upon arrival, it will cost R400, space at the venue is available on a first-come, first serve basis.
How to access the venue
To ensure safe access, all patrons are required to download the Ticketmaster app, which is available on Google Play and the Apple App Store. You can find the digital festival ticket readily on your Ticketmaster app profile
