Johannesburg August 21st – S-Tone who forms part of the EL World stable who is originally from Swaziland Eswatini identifies his music as a fluid blend of Afro; Soul and Electro all in one. He recently graced us this past July with his new single “Imali Yami” feat. MaTen which kicked off his pre-order for his upcoming album “Mbabane” which drops today.

“Mbabane” is a fourteen track album which S-Tone describes as a glimpse into his life, when asked about the creative process he said “It’s all about my life experiences and the things I see around me. I try to be as dynamic as I can when creating and not sing about love only, but touch on other aspects of life and serious issues affecting communities as well. The underlying thing for me is to sing my truth.”
The Album is named “Mbabane” which is the capital of Eswatini which is where S-Tone grew up and spent most of his childhood. He believes that his hometown shaped him and inspired his love for music, allowing him to remember where he comes from and staying true to who he is and of course acknowledging the beautiful place is the aim of the project!
When asked about the album S-Tone said “I loved working on the album, there were moments of frustration, naturally but that’s what happens when you are emotionally involved in the success of a project. I’ve been fortunate to work with some amazing people with great talent on production like Sun EL Musician, Claudio & Kenza…and of course, some amazing vocal features like Simmy, Mthunzi, Sino Msolo, Ma-Ten10 and Kyle Deutsch.
