More Jozi! Pink Glam and Bling!
The Gauteng SANSUI Summer Cup, the largest horse race event in Gauteng with more than 20 000 attendees is set to dazzle Gautengers with a definitive entertainment experience when it opens its doors on Saturday, 28 November at the Turffontein Racecourse, Johannesburg. The event organizers, Megapro Holdings (Pty) Ltd, announced the music line up and an addition of new artists to the Sound Experience stage. SAMA Awards winner Mi Casa, Hip Hop artist Cassper Nyovest, Global duo GoldFish and experimental sound group Muzart will hit the Gauteng SANSUI Summer Cup Sound Experience after party, with powerhouse performances that will sure get the night off to a great start. Completing the massive line-up will be 947’s Vin Deysel, who will be getting behind the decks alongside English house duo GoodLuck, famously known for their electro swing and intelligent dance music.
“Hot on the heels of a successful event last year, this year’s Sound Experience returns with a bigger and better official after party. We are delighted to announce a selection of the best South African artists and biggest names in entertainment who will take the centrestage of the after party,” said event organizer, Taryn Rautenbach (Megapro Holdings).
Winner of six awards at the the South African Music Awards (SAMA’s) house band Mi Casa is joining the Gauteng SANSUI Summer Cup family for the first time. The “Hallo Bay”, Chokolat band has just dropped their third highly anticipated studio album (Home Sweet Home). They promise fans of the Gauteng SANSUI Summer Cup a memorable day featuring new material and songs from their previous albums.
Cape Town based electronica duo Goldfish, affectionately known as the Fishies will dazzle fans with live instruments combining a freeform of singing in between. Currently in London promoting their new album “Heart Shaped Box” the duo will thrill fans with their multiple-instrument act as they hit the summer stage. For those curious about an eclectic flavour, the SAMA Awards Nominated group “Muzart” will add a colourful sound and creativity to the stage with riveting performances fine-tuned with different layers of music from jazz to soul fuse.

Headlining the Gauteng SANSUI Summer Cup this year is newsmaker Cassper Nyovest. The “Doc Shebeleza” hip hop lyricist has been topping the charts and airplay with his current single “DusttoDust”. Nyovest will give music lovers a rollercoaster ride of live music and spectacular acts.
“When I was approached to play at the Gauteng SANSUI Summer Cup, I told myself that the sky can only be the limit, I’m pushing myself from FilltheDome to this exciting event that gives back to charity,” said Cassper Nyovest”. “I want to share my new album with my fans and connect with them; it’s going to be an incredible night!”
The Gauteng SANSUI Summer Cup general access ticket is R75 and this will give you access to Turffontein Racecourse, as well as the official Sound Experience after party (No U18’s allowed).
