Debuting at #4 on the Apple Music charts alongside Wizkid and AKA, Simmy has proven to be one of the hottest female acts in South Africa.

“Emakhaya” has been on the South African airplay charts since release peaking at #16 on the top 100 and comfortably sitting in the top 30 to date. The “Emakhaya” music video breaks boundaries this week as #1 music video on the South African TV Charts and surpasses 1 million views in just under 2 months, making this one of the biggest songs this festive season.

When asked about the success around Emakhaya, Simmy said “The most beautiful thing for me was being able to go home and shoot the video, this video speaks of a place that is my peace which is home. This video gave me an opportunity to show people who I am and where I come from. I really appreciate that my fans have been showing so much love to the video, I really wasn’t expecting such success for it, but I am thankful and hope they will enjoy more of the upcoming/forthcoming visuals as well”.
