With only two weeks to go before the First Annual South African Amapiano Music Awards live ceremony which will be held at the Sandton Convention Centre on 23 October, Amapiano Fever is officially in the air. What was going to be an exclusive VIP invite-only Awards Ceremony has now been officially opened to the public after President Cyril Ramaphosa relaxed Government Covid-19 regulations by taking us to adjusted Level 1, thereby allowing increased numbers in both indoor and outdoor events. A limited number of tickets are now available for sale at Computicket to the general public to attend this historic inaugural event.
The main hosts for the night are Moshe Ndiki, Zola Ayabulela Mhlongo and Robot Boii while our red carpet host is 5FM’s Zanele Potelwa. There will be appearances by some of Mzansi’s A-listers such as DJ Tira, Vuyo Dabula, Masechaba Ndlovu, Phil Mphela and Zodwa Wabantu just to name a few. We will also have live performances by the likes of Kamo Mphela, Sir Trill, Pabi Cooper, Mr Jazziq, Nhlanhla Nciza, Amaroto, and Boohle along with other prominent Amapiano acts.
Dubbed “Amapiano’s Biggest Night”, this is set to be the biggest Amapiano gathering in the continent. We encourage all attendees to dress to impress. The Road to SAAPA 2021 has officially begun!
