Durban Mc Joins Hosts Thomas Gumede, Boity & Nigeria’s Basketmouth to Gasp, Laugh & Cringe at the Internet’s Craziest Stunts
Johannesburg, 30 June 2016: MTV (DStv channel 130) has just the right way to warm you up during the ruthless winter nights as Ridiculousness Africa heats up your screens with bizarre video clips of crazy antics, shocking stunts and eccentric exploits from some of the internet’s craziest clowns.
Embrace your own inner Ridiculousness as host with the most, Thomas Gumede, is joined by the gorgeous Boity Thulo, Nigerian funnyman Basketmouth, and celebrity guest Nasty C in the first episode of the series, premiering on Thursday 14 July at 21:15 CAT.
Nasty C, real name Nsikayesizwe Ngcobo will show off his funny side when he joins Thomas, Boity and Basketmouth on the Ridiculousness sofa to share his hilarious comments and observations on the video antics. The 19-year old chart-topping rapper and award-winning MC from Durban is best known for his hits “Hell Naw”, “Juice Back” and his recent feature on DJ Vigilante’s “Bang Out”, alongside K.O and AKA.
Future episodes of Ridiculousness Africa will feature big name celebrities including actress Nomzamo Mbatha, TV & radio personality Dineo Ranaka, and Nigerian Rapper YCEE.
Shot on location in Madrid, Spain, Ridiculousness Africa puts a local spin on the Rob Dyrdek-fronted US comedy clip show, and corries the warning ‘Don’t Try This at Home!” The show celebrates the brave, fun-loving, light-hearted and unapologetically foolish men and women who are prepared to risk life and limb – all in the interest of achieving 15 seconds of fleeting fame on the internet.
