The Omni-Shade™ Sun Deflector was developed in Columbia’s PIT (Performance Innovation Team) Lab.
The Omni-Shade™ Sun Deflector technology is a combination of three of Columbia’s technologies. The Omni-Shade™ Technology which blocks Ultraviolet A and Ultraviolet B rays (UVA and UVB), helping to prevent sunburn and long-term skin damage. It has earned the Skin Cancer Foundation’s Seal of Recommendation, the Omni-Freeze™ ZERO Technology’s blue rings which work with your sweat, and actively cool the surrounding fabric, and the Omni-Wick™ Technology which pulls moisture away from the body and enables perspiration to evaporate quickly, keeping you feeling cooler and comfortable.
The Omni-Shade™ Sun Deflector technology is best for hot and/or humid conditions, and extreme sun exposure. It deflects sunlight away from the body so you feel cooler and stay protected, blocks damaging UVA and UVB rays, has breathable fabric, and wicks away sweat.
