28 NOVEMBER, JOHANNESBURG – We’re excited to announce the award-winning British rapper, singer and songwriter Stormzy as the official headliner for In the City 2020, taking place on Sunday 4 October in Johannesburg!
In 2014, Stormzy garnered attention on the UK underground music scene through his Wicked Skengman series of freestyles over classic grime beats. As the first black solo British citizen to headline Glastonbury Festival on the Pyramid Stage, Stormzy made history, donning a custom stab-proof vest by iconic modern artist Banksy and delivered one of the festival’s most incredible performances to date!
This will be the first time that the artist performs in South Africa, and earlier this week he said, on performing in SA for the first time, “Can’t wait. The energy I’m going to bring is going to be different.”
