Superbalist is Rocking the Daisies has completed its stellar line up with a solid program of the hottest acts.
This year’s Superbalist is Rocking the Daisies is proud to host its biggest line up yet. As the exciting journey of #RockingMondays comes to an end, so we celebrate an incredible line up of the hottest local talent whilst welcoming a stellar array of internationals to our South African shores to perform across many of our stages.
Native Young joins Cape Town’s psychedelic indie pop band The Plastics on the Main Stage, as do Opposite the Other and Ben Dey and the Concrete Lions.
James Copeland, Grimehouse, Tomorrow’s Will, Dane Stirrat, Anthea Scholz, Thibo Tazz, Khubu and Richard Marshall conclude the line up at the Electronic Dome and new to the Pop Bottles Two’s Up stage is the addition of Major League DJz. Twins Bandile and Banele promise a dynamic hip-hop set, full of the fresh energy that their fans have come to expect.
Comedy fans will be stoked as Emmy nominated ventriloquist extraordinaire Conrad Koch joins the all-star line-up at The Lemon Tree Theatre. No doubt Koch’s famous puppet, Chester Missing will be hurling insults at him while fueling the political fire. New additions also include Carl Weber, Gino Fernandez, Derick Watts & The Sunday Blues, Mojak and Carl Weber.
This line-up comes to completion with the additions of the Stone-Age Citizens, Reezo Hassan, Terrence Pearce and Remember The Morning.
The Nu World Beat Club’s rounded off with Hong Kong / London local Janette Slack. As well as Hezron Chetty and Kesivan Naidoo and finally The Beat Machine Pay Tribute to Fela Kuti.
Daisies’ Silent Disco is back for those of you who want a bit of a personal encounter with your music. When the sun sets and all of the comedians have taken to the stage, The Lemon Tree Theatre transforms into a quiet arena of dancing kings and queens. Uppercut, Robfather and Tommy Gun will be spinning ultra-cool tunes directly into your ears. Never been to a Silent Disco? Time to discover another realm.
The Campsite Stage’s final additions are Andy Lund and The Mission Men, The Fishwives, Taleswapper, Slow Jack, The Tazers, Mean Black Mamba and Two Minute Puzzle.
The Headspaza is completed with Dan C, Ricardo Benigno, Zac Marx, Sharonfromafrica, Luke Redford and Mey.
With 11 stages and 250 acts in a variety of genres over four days, Superbalist is Rocking the Daisies truly is SA’s biggest festival of its kind.
