Johannesburg, 26 June 2020- Blooming artist, Sya Zwide, is thrilled to announce the release of his debut EP titled Isiqubulo. The Afro-pop infused EP went live on digital streaming platforms on 26 June 2020.
Isiqubulo consists of 5 songs that dig into personal experiences of life, love & heartbreak, all of which are relatable. This body of work takes you on a powerful but uplifting ride that you don’t see coming initially. The Ep comprises his previously released singles “Akusiy’owakho” & “Thembalami” which helped push his offerings to the forefront. Another notable song on the EP is Amapolo which has been highly requested by his ever-growing fan base.
Produced by Ruff Kay, Isiqubulo is just an introduction to Sya Zwide’s sound which has led him to share big stages with renowned acts such as Big Zulu, Nadia Nakai, Moozlie, DJ Fresh, Kwesta, Khuli Chana and Reason.
A KZN born and raised, Sya Zwide fell enamored with music at an early age. One of his greatest achievements yet was performing alongside Gigi Lamayne as a surprise act at the historic Gigi Gang Show.

Reigning from KwaZulu Natal and born on the 20th of June 1993, Siyanda Gift Ndwandwe, better recognized as Sya Zwide, is a Johannesburg based singer, song writer and a performer that can capture the attention of any crowd. Sya Zwide’s sound taps into different genres such as RnB, Afro-pop, Afro-soul, Gospel and Maskandi.
Sya Zwide taught himself how to write RnB, Hip Hop and House and later joined Isibusiso, a musical group that helped build confidence through various performances. The singer formed a duo with Ruff Kay and put together an EP called “It doesn’t get better than this” and later fell in love with the Afro Soul genre because it allowed him to express his feelings, heartbreaks and life situations. Afro Soul stood out from all genres and this led to the birth of his highly rated debut single Titled Akusiy’owakho which landed him a feature on Showbiz Uganda- A famous blog in Uganda, and has been used on various occasions as a background track on critically acclaimed TV show Rhythm City. Following the successful release of Akusiy’owakho, Sya Zwide released his much requested sophomore track titled Thembalami which was first heard on Rhythm City.
Adding to his endless list of talents, Sya Zwide debuted his acting career on one of South Africa’s most loved soapies, Generations: The Legacy where he is a featured as an extra.
