Johannesburg, Friday, 21 February 2025 — South African amapiano power duos, Amu Classic & Kappie and Mellow & Sleazy team up and raise the bar with the release of their collaborative new album, The Fantastic Four, out today on all major streaming platforms. Collectively known for shaping the sound of modern amapiano while staying true to their roots, this project is more than just music—it’s a bold statement of ambition, resilience, and sonic evolution.
“The inspiration behind this album was simple,” shares Amu Classic & Kappie. “It’s about going for what you want, no matter how hard the journey. We wanted to create something that would inspire not just fans but also young producers and vocalists coming up in the game.”
Crafted between Amu Classic & Kappie’s own Umzonkonko Studios and Mellow & Sleazy Studios, The Fantastic Four showcases their commitment to pushing the boundaries of amapiano. The 13-track album is rich with stories of aspiration, perseverance, and the pursuit of greatness, themes that echo their own journeys to becoming leaders in the genre. From the introspective lead single Into The Stars, which speaks to the frustrations of chasing dreams while watching others seemingly succeed with ease, to the soul-stirring Inhliziyo and the high-energy anthem Ama Grootman, the album delivers a diverse listening experience without losing its core identity.
