18 year old dj and music producer Quest has released his first EP titled “The Future of House Music”. His debut track ‘Iziqhaza’ is currently on high rotation on Trace Urban and MTV Base.
Born Lindelani Masondo, the Pinetown based maestro is not new to the scene having won “Who Wears the Crown?” on Oskido’s Metro FM show four weeks in a row. This led to him working with Dino Michael and DJ Christos on the album “Deep From The Mother Land Vol. 1”, contributing the track “Made in Ninety Seven” which is also featured on the E.P.
The inspiration behind Quest E.P Music – Snarky Puppy was from listening to electro jazz, neo soul/ back bone as dance/house music.
Quest started rapping at age six but fell in love with music production at 14. This confident and ambitious young man started deejaying in 2011, wanting people to hear the music he was creating.
“Imagine what I can achieve in the next five years, I want to ultimately be one of the greatest. The best part of putting this E.P together was working with other young upcoming artists; I believe I can use this platform to create space for others like myself”.
Quest is signed to Born Free Rhythms, a music and publishing house based in Durban.
Wow I love this young boy….may he grow further in his music career…bless you
