Johannesburg, South Africa – 4 September 2026: Tsebebe Moroke has released “Sbwl Sama Grootman”, the lead single from his forthcoming project, SOULFUL PRINCE 4.0, set for release on 18 September 2026.
The single arrives as the sixth track on the project and captures Tsebebe’s take on a defining chapter in Amapiano’s cultural journey. “Sbwl Sama Grootman” reflects on the era when the genre’s influence extended beyond music, with its sound, fashion and lifestyle creating a distinct cultural identity. The title itself speaks to that moment and the figures who became closely associated with the culture as Amapiano continued to grow.
“Sbwl Sama Grootman’ comes from my appreciation of the foundation of Amapiano and the sounds that moved the streets in the early days. I was drawn to the melodies, the basslines and the way the instrumentation could create a feeling without needing too much. I wanted to take those elements and interpret them through my own sound. The title also comes from that era of Amapiano where the music, fashion, luxury brands and the people driving the culture were all connected. The ‘Grootman’ became part of that identity. When I was working on the song, I spent a lot of time reflecting on the journey of Amapiano, where it started, how it developed and where it is now. That history really influenced me instrumentally and creatively. This song is my way of paying respect to that foundation while giving people my own version of what that sound means to me,” says Tsebebe Moroke.
“Sbwl Sama Grootman” marks the first glimpse into SOULFUL PRINCE 4.0, setting the tone for Tsebebe Moroke’s next body of work. The single is available now, with the full project arriving on 18 September 2026.
