Sbu Romeo is 1 of the funniest guys you could come across, always full of laughs and smiles but his love for music can’t be reviled, I think 60% of his posts are about music or music related content, so naturally I was drawn to him and we clicked. This also gave me a chance to pick his brain and find out what his Top 5 tracks are.
He was more than happy to share. A very interesting selection by him, check it out below.
1. D’Moov feat Nicole Henry – For The Love Of You (Frankie Feliciano Recanstruction Vocal Mix)
I Fell In Love With This Song When I Was Learning To Deejay Using DVD Decks And A Mixer That Only Had 3 Channel Faders And No EQ On It. If I’m Not Mistaken I Think It Was In 2008, Around June. The Beat On It’s Own Is Just Awesome, And The Vocal Is Just Out Of This World. And At That Time I Really Didn’t Think I’d Play At A Club, But I Had Hopes.

2. Mali The DeeJay – 21 Dubs Closer
When This Hit Was Released, I Knew What I Was Doing On The CDJs (Had A Good Understanding). And What Makes It My Number 2 Is Simply Because It’s By A Guy That I Knew Through A Family Friend (Siza ”Stanky DeeJay” Kweyama) And I Really Had No Idea That Mali Is A Producer Back Then, Until I Heard This Track Played By VeliMusique And Fell In Love With It There And Then. It’s A Dope Track.

3. Telepop Music – Love Can Damage Your Health
This One’s Just My All Time Favourite Classic Tune Since 2009, When I Used To Play For Free At A Local Pub In Hammarsdale (PUB 202). I’d Rock Up A Set Of Some Tribal Tunes, But I’d Start My Set With It, Just To Get Some Attention From The Crowds That Were There At That Time/Moment. And It Still Goes In, The Track Still Has That Magic In It.

4. Betasweet feat Holi – Jehova (Original Phatgruv Mix)
This One Should’ve Been My Number One Because I Even Remember The Exact Date I Heard It. It Was The 24th Of November 2013. I Was Chilling With Siza Listening To Some Music He Had Recently Downloaded Then, And When It Started I Was Like ”Nx It’s Just One Of Those Tracks By The Famous International Producers”. And He Replied ”Mjita This Is Local Talent.” And I Couldn’t Believe It. The Track Is Gawdly. It Plays For 12minutes And 40seconds… And When Holi Starts Singing On A High Note, You Could Hear The Baseline Changing, That’s When You Know That The Track Is Taking You On An Ego Trip

5. Atjazz & Jullian Gomez feat Osunlade- Philosophy
Well, There’s Pretty Much Nothing To Say About This Blissful Song Except That It Is A Killer And Definitely A Floor Filler. It Just Goes In, First Time Hearing It Was On ”THE GIFT THE CURSE”, Atjazz And Jullian Gomes’s Album That Was Released Late Last Year
